Free as a bird (The Beatles)

Free As A Bird
Lennon/McCartney/Harrison/Starkey

Free as a bird,
it's the next best thing to be.
Free as a bird.

Home, home and dry,
like a homing bird I'll fly
as a bird on wings.

Whatever happened to
the life that we once knew?
Can we really live without each other?

Where did we lose the touch
that seemed to mean so much?
It always made me feel so...

Free as a bird,
like the next best thing to be.
Free as a bird.

Home, home and dry,
like a homing bird I'll fly
as a bird on wings.

Whatever happened to
the life that we once knew?
Always made me feel so free.

Free as a bird.
It's the next best thing to be.
Free as a bird.
Free as a bird.
Free as a bird.

The Rainbow

How can the very eyes of the truth ...
tell a blatant lie ?

The two shadows of the same me ...
which one to trust ? ... and why ?

Denial remains ...
and so does its denial.

The neverending struggle ...
to avoid crossing ...
the invisible line.

The truth is obscure ...
deceptive ...
and perhaps as impure.

The invisible line ...
is dotted ...
to allow crossing indefinitely.

Still ... I exist as one single truth ...
magically ... perfectly ... purely.

The rainbow of truth ...
presents itself ...
in its most true form.

How can this magical sight ...
even hold a slightest of lie ?
It is only
more beautiful ...
more sublime ...
more pure ...
and even more true.

Where the mind is without fear ...

WHERE the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
Rabindranath Tagore
